Foodie Tut: Tuna Carbonara (an updated version)
Hi guys! I'm making a post during a break from studying! I've been super busy which is pretty much obvious since I barely post a new... uhh, post. So anyways, for today's foodie tut, I am going to show a remake of the past recipe over >>here<<
In the past recipe, I used cream. This time around I will use milk.
2/3 cup of evaporated milk
1 tsp corn starch
3tbsp water
canned tuna (you may use whichever and how much you want; I used Century Tuna Flakes in Oil)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
small onion (whichever), chopped
salt and pepper
Procedure:
1. Saute garlic until golden not burnt. Saute onions until it sweats.
2. Add tuna and saute some more.
3. Lower the heat and add milk.
4. Let it simmer for a while.
5. While doing so, in a separate container mix starch and water.
6. Pour it in the milk mixture to thicken.
7. Add salt and pepper.
8. Put fire on medium, and mix until sauce thickens.
9. Optional: Put parmesan cheese with the sauce before removing from fire.
10. Pour over pasta of choice.
