Daily Life: Busybody Week

Hi guys! The weekend was pretty crazy.

Friday: Snatched Bag
Saturday: Painting, volunteer work and friends staying over
Sunday: Fun run and more volunteer work

Last Friday I dropped by at the office where I am currently doing volunteer work. When I was heading home with two newfound friends, my bag was snatched from me! I used a small shoulder bag which slung over my right shoulder. I tried to chase the culprit while shouting "Thief!" But he was able to escape with the help of an accomplice. They used a vehicle to escape from their deeds. While escaping they had to pass through cars which began to cause traffic. They fell somewhere along the road and was almost hit by a bus! I did not feel sorry for them and I wanted to laugh out loud. But I couldn't retrieve my things since I was afraid that they might be holding any sharp object and I didn't have any experience with self defense. No one helped at all. Well, except for the kind lady who gave me cash to go home.

We went to the police station to report the incident but I was already doubtful that they would be able to retrieve my things. My bag contained my phone, a Samsung Corby II; cash around PHP1000; my School ID which is expensive PHP600 + affidavit of loss charges, my friend's pocket book and my 2GB Micro SD card.

It is okay if it was stolen but I want my sim card back! Plus the school ID and the book!

Saturday I was awake at 8am and I went back to the office to work on the pieces we had to put for the exhibit. I had seven aprox. 2ftx4ft panels of styro covered with brown paper to work on for the painting-slash-collage. The people there were thinking that I would not go back because of the incident. But well, I am a strong woman. I was working alone on the piece since the other volunteer workers were not yet around. We were able to finish the piece at night (painting, fixing details, pasting photos, ...) I came home with my friends for the fun run we were volunteering for. At home, we had take home food ready to be eaten and we just chatted the night away forgetting we had to be up by 2.30am. In other words, I haven't slept.

By 3am we went to the office since we will be picked up there by the service who will bring us to the fun run's venue. We fixed things and became marshalls for the event. We had to stand up the whole time.

By 9.30am, we headed back to the office and I did more volunteer work.
My piece. Sadly it will be covered with text and stuff. It is styrofoam and liquidy poster paint. Plus hands and fingers as my brush. Thanks to tape to for the awkardness the painting has.

I headed back home at around 6pm and then crashed on my bed by 7pm for a short nap. But I slept at 10pm. So I was awake for 30++hours
