Daily Life: Week Roundup~ Cosplay, Tao + Foodie

It is one rainy rainy week.

Two fridays ago, I watched Tao, a Japanese drum performance, at Resorts World Manila with my parents. I love the overall performance. Their costumes were so clean and perfect. It was a samurai-inspired outfit in the shades of black, violet and dark gray. Their movements while performing were so fluid as if they were dancing. I think their moves were martial arts, actually. And the sound of the percussion instruments was just magnificent! Whenever they played, I could feel Pre-modern Japan around me. There were times that I think the music were reminiscent of wartime because of the Taiko. I think their lead drummer was a girl in heels. Aside from the percussions, they also used the flute and koto, a Japanese string instrument. I never new that percussion and wind instruments sounded so good together. Also, I loved their concept of interacting with the crowd. (Click the link below, the one I'm referring to is the woman in white) If they perform in your country, you should watch.

Here's a link to their website. But it will redirect you to the photo gallery.

We have been cooking a lot too recently. Here are some photos:

So that is chocolate cream pie with cashew nuts on top and marshmallows inside. The other one is a chocolate souffle and we paired it with fresh slices of kiwi for a taste of sourness. This was served during dinner two Sundays ago.

This one was eaten for today's lunch. It is roasted belly of pork with roasted vegetables in salt & pepper, and rosemary with blanched asparagus. We ate it with a Kamias (according to wiki and wiki answers, the English term for this fruit is Camias or Bilimbi tree) Basil smoothie which I prepared.

We had leftover asparagus so I made it into a soup. Though I would prefer using the white asparagus for soup.

Yesterday I also did some volunteer work. July is the Philippine-Japan Friendship month so there are various events that are held during the month. This time around was the fourth Jpop anime singing contest and cosplay event. There were also photos around during the JENESYS Programme. Here are some photos of the event.

This week I also felt sick. I caught the cold, had a cough, a slight fever and even had trouble breathing. I doubt it was asthma because if I have asthma I would hear a whistling sound while breathing.  I feel much better now but I still have a cold and a slight cough.

Be careful guys and do not catch a cold!

On second thought, it is summer in some parts of the world. So be careful with the sun! :D

Until next time! <3
